moving on post.
Oh man. After living off post for three years, our entire marriage, we moved on post. Moving on post scared me, because of all the negativity it gets. While, our housing isn't the best, I do not have to worry about getting the rent, electric, water and trash paid. It already comes out of our check. Yes, there are neighbors that are loud at ungodly hours but honestly unless your house is off in the distance away, your neighbors will always do something that irks you. I like living on post because the commissary, px and so many more things are right down the street. It does sometimes feel like you are living in a college dorm room with the amount of privacy you have. Especially if you live in smaller housing. I do get upset because you cannot have certain breeds of dogs, on many occasions pit-bulls and rotties are some of the sweetest dogs, while little teeny dogs can be mean. It depends on who the family is that is taking care of them. What's your opinion do you like living on-post of is off better for your family?
Missing home.
So like most army wives or spouses of our military, every once in a while we miss home. We miss the friends, the family just a sense of belonging. Recently over leave, we traveled to Fort Campbell. My inlaws are stationed here and my sister in-law was getting married. Although not my hometown or my biological family, I felt complete for a little while. There was family and friends to gossip, hangout with and to even have some home cooked meals other than my own. People ask me every once in a while, is it hard being away from family? No, you just forget about that part of your life. Yes, it is hard. I always feel like I am missing out on my nieces and nephews life and it breaks my heart. But, yes life does go on as it always will.

Newbie here
Hi all! The name is Megan and a little bit of everything is my game. I am writing this for me but of course if you would like to read all of my random thoughts that would be awesome as well! Some of my posts may vary from what it is like being a army wife to couponing and anything in between there. I have been married for a year and a half to the person I love to annoy the most in the entire world. I am so thankful for Josh! He drives me crazy sometimes but I cannot imagine life without him.
